Children
Children and Teenagers
Children and teenagers face so many challenges as they try to adjust to all the changes that intense periods of growth and development bring. When you add other pressures like school, friendships, social media, exams, divorce, grief, and more, it isn't hard to understand why it can result in emotional and physical symptoms of fear, anxiety, and depression. It can be a lot for their blossoming brains to deal with. Those who have the additional challenges that neurodiversity brings can particularly struggle to find ways to cope.
As a parent to teenage boys, I understand how difficult it can be to know how best to support your child when they are feeling so overwhelmed. Fortunately, there is much more awareness now of the importance of good mental health, but it can be difficult to access help in the short term.
Positive Solutions
Hypnotherapy is a tremendously effective tool, and in fact, children are often much more responsive to hypnosis thanks to their amazing imagination, and ability to visualise and create. It's a really positive and relaxing process that supports children to take control of their feelings and emotions, quieten their negative self-talk, improve their confidence and self-esteem, and build resilience, so they feel happier, brighter, and more able to enjoy life.
As with all clients, I like to introduce myself and what I do during a free introductory session. It's a great opportunity to build rapport and put them at ease so they feel comfortable about coming to future sessions. If you would like to have an informal chat about how hypnotherapy can help your child, please do get in contact.
